Appointments: We are happy to accept appointments via our website or by calling our office directly. Appointments made via the website will be confirmed via email or a phone call. When an appointment is made, it is considered a confirmed appointment. We reserve the time in our schedule and the space in our office especially for you and make every effort to see you in a timely fashion so as to respect your schedule. We ask that you do the same. We will provide for you a courtesy call a day or two before your appointment if you need one. If you need to reschedule your appointment, we require 48 hours advance notice.
Insurance Billing: We are not a preferred provider for any insurance company, but we will bill your insurer of choice. As a service to you, we are glad to assist you in filling out your insurance claim form so that your benefits will be maximized. A claim will be sent to the insurance company so that they will reimburse you in a timely manner.
Why we are not a preferred provider: We believe that preferred status limits patient and doctor choices. It allows the insurance company to make financial decisions based on your employer’s premium payments, not on your best health interest. You deserve the best we can offer, not what is dictated by your insurance company. The relationship with the insurance company is the patient’s, not the doctor’s. It is important for us to create relationship and trust with you, not with your insurance company. We are open to discussing this important issue anytime and value your input.
Financial Arrangements: We ask that you pay for your treatment at the time of service. We will offer you a courtesy discount if you choose to pre-pay for your treatment at the time you make your appointment. We do accept credit cards, post-dated checks, and offer a financing option by an outside credit company, sometimes without interest. Financial arrangements may be flexible as they are made on an individual basis, depending on your treatment plan, timeline, and circumstances. You will be able to talk with our knowledgeable staff in regards to our financial arrangement policies.
New Patient Visit: Your first visit to the office is an opportunity to meet Dr. Marder and the staff as well as discuss any concerns or preferences you may have regarding your dental health. We use this visit to get to know you by collecting your medical history data, performing a general dental examination, and discussing future treatment options. We prefer to schedule any necessary cleanings or procedures to take place after your initial visit so that we may begin your care once we have gathered the appropriate information.
