Mission Statement
We are honored that you would entrust us as partners in your health care. We take seriously your endeavor to be healthy. We always seek to find the cause of a problem, not just fix the effect. We look at your whole health, advise you regarding your mouth, but always within the context of your whole body, your medical history, your familial tendencies, and your personal preferences.

Often oral health decisions intertwine with general health concerns.  Too regularly, we think that our mouth is separate from the rest of our body.  Yet, it is becoming more and more evident through scientific exploration that this is not the case.  We take seriously the decision of what material is placed in your mouth, being concerned that the material reflects your individual biological compatibility preference.

We listen to your concerns and values and then individualize our recommendations to fit your specified preferences.  We hold that you are in charge of your health care and simply hiring us as experts in the field.  We want you to fully understand and desire the care we provide prior to our performing the care.  We always strive to find the cause before providing a solution.  We identify how the oral is reflecting the systemic and how the systemic relates to the oral.

We strive to integrate conventional care and alternative care. In this way, we offer an alternative to most dental offices. We hold a bias towards natural solutions which minimize side effects. We hold a bias against medications when we might find a non-pharmacological choice. We hold a belief that cosmetic dentistry has its value and place, but we will not push you in that direction.

We are open to change and improvement.  We want to hear what you think and how we might be better able to serve you.  We want to create a safe, comfortable environment to which you would be excited to invite those that you care about.  We want to earn your trust, so that you could be confident in that invitation.

What to expect
On your first visit, we will take the time to listen to your story, your concerns, and your preferences.  We will collect appropriate data relative to your concerns.  We will share with you our findings, and if appropriate, discuss options for treatment.  If your situation is more complex, a follow-up consultation might be warranted.

We generally do not do cleanings on the first visit.  If this is very important to you, we can make an exception.  We have found that in order to provide comprehensive and appropriate care in an appropriate time frame, it is beneficial to gather information before we commence in treatment.

We hope you will find the experience in our office enjoyable, informative, and comfortable.  We hope you will feel comfortable in voicing your opinions and providing us feedback.  We look forward to meeting you and to a positive, lasting relationship.
